Three volumes are available of "A Treasury of Scottie Dog Collectibles", each containing nearly 800 different color photographs of items produced through history with the image of the Scottish Terrier. Scottie collectibles began appearing in quantity in the 1930's. They flourished at the beginning of the 1940's when "Murray, the Outlaw of Fala Hill", or known throughout the world as simply "Fala", joined the 32nd president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in the White House and became FDR's constant companion. Several pages of each volume are devoted to Fala collectibles. The sturdy silhouette and endearing appearance of the Scottie breed has remained a constant portrait used for decoration for just about anything imaginable through the years.
Each book is arranged in categories such as banks, bookends, fine art, statues, textiles, jewelry, etc. Descriptions and a value range accompany items pictured. "Scottie Sightings" also appear in each volume, listing movies and books featuring our favorite canine - the Scottish Terrier.
